Cherie's Favourite Flowers - December 2018

Morning Scrapping Friends.
Today I am sharing how to make my favourite flowers which I use all the time. These flowers use a punch but you could use die cut flowers and the same process.

Firstly, cut two of each punch size.  I have used an extra-large punch and a large punch. The above flowers use two extra-large and two large flower cut-outs.  The extra-large punch cuts out a flower 7.5cm across and the large punch cuts out a flower 5 cm across.   I like to ink all edges before I glue and fold the flowers but that is your choice.  Pinch each petal together between your thumb and forefinger – facing up as in the bottom photo.

Glue two extra-large flowers on top of each other – as shown in the middle photo.  Then do the same again with two of the large flowers. Finally glue two large on top of the extra-large flowers and put a button in the middle.

You can also make these flowers using just one of each size – I usually use three different sized punches.  Use buttons or bling as the centre or just a very small punched flower.

Happy flower making -

"Loving Life" Scrapbook layout + process video by Louise

Hi Crafters

Louise on the blog today.
Here to share my inspiration for the November moodboard.

 "Loving Life"

This month we'd like to inspire you with this "Boho" themed moodboard.

Straight up ... this was really hard for me!
I'm definitely not a fan of the boho trend and I'm more a brights/bold kind of person.

So I did a little googling of "boho" and discovered arrows, florals and feathers.
Next I looked for a photo and decided this would be a good opportunity to scrap a picture of myself.

Finally I've gotten into my stash and put together this page.
You can see it here in this video ...

Thanks for watching and can't wait to see your creations.

Happy Scrapping.

A blue love card by Dawid

Hi everyone,

I prepared for todays inspiration a love card. I chosen colors from our challenge color pallete - blue, white and a little bit gray. On the card I've made flowers composition which I decorated  with glitter paint. It gave main composition a little bit frosty look.

I prepared for you a step by step video. I hope you enjoy.

Hugs,

Dawid

Mixed Media Wood Panel

Hi, Carol Theng today sharing a mixed media wood panel I made using the colors from July Moodboard.

"Memories"

Gesso the wood panel and spread texture paste over a stencil. Misted with blue mist.

Left the chipboard raw and adhered with 3D heavy matt gel. Added the leaves and flowers. And dew drops.

Also added a few drops of glossy accent on the flowers to create dew effect.

This is a very simple and quick project done within 30 minutes. Do have a try.

Thanks for dropping by. Do join us for our July Moodboard Challenge. Have fun.

Mixed media scrapbook layout "Snowy" tutorial by Hema

Hello Ladies.......

Welcome to Off the Rails Blog and this is my latest work for this months challenge and also I share a tuto with you all.  Hope this inspires you guys to create and share with us for this month. We have a lovely wintery snowy mood board. Come along and play with us.

Firstly I choose a pattern paper which suits to my LO. Later added Prima Heavy gesso run through Visible Images Stencil and smudged few places randomly.

Next added few dry moss behind my focal image.

For background color ..I added LSG- Magical Blachelor Button blue and 13arts spray spreading it with my misty.

Once heat set ....now I added Wendy Vicchi's Embossing paste with spatula for snowy finish on the dry grass and heat set it.

Now layered all the flowers and embelishments and stuck them around the LO. I heat set few leaves chippies with LSG embossing powder and added little more embossing paste on to the flowers and  leaves and heat set them for a snowy finish. And the final finish is here. Some close up shots....

Hope you guys enjoyed this creation of LO. Cant wait to see what you guys come up with.

Happy Crafting

Spring Rosette tutorial with Jae Hee

Hello Off The Rails fans!
The April mood board is like a party of various colors.

Spring is such a lovely season.
I'm going to work on the spring party in April.
I need green paper and floral paper.
Fold the paper in a zigzag.

In Korea, this law is called "fan folding".

Put green paper and floral paper on top of each other.
After that, stick two pieces of green paper together.
The rosette shape is complete.
Put the paper on top of it and decorate the spring with a variety of die cuts.

If you upload a photo suitable for spring, you will complete your own spring party rosette.

Make your own party decorations by creating a variety of color rosettes in the mood board.
see you next time.

 Happy Crafting.

Jae Hee
