Mixed Media Wood Panel

Hi, Carol Theng today sharing a mixed media wood panel I made using the colors from July Moodboard.

"Memories"

Gesso the wood panel and spread texture paste over a stencil. Misted with blue mist.

Left the chipboard raw and adhered with 3D heavy matt gel. Added the leaves and flowers. And dew drops.

Also added a few drops of glossy accent on the flowers to create dew effect.

This is a very simple and quick project done within 30 minutes. Do have a try.

Mixed media canvas by Carol T

Hi everyone. Carol, here today, sharing a mixed media canvas that I made using the orange color in this month's mood board challenge.

"Shine Brightly"

For the background, I spread texture paste over a stencil and painted the whole canvas with black acrylic paint. Then stamp randomly with swirl stamp and white inkpad. Also dabbed some gold shimmer ink and orange paint over the textured hearts.

For the chipboard circle, I painted with orange paints and dabbed with grey paint. Also added some gauze as texture.

Diecut the 2 heart shapes with Sizzix dies. Added flowers and flower cutouts.

Pop up the title with foam tape and added some crystals on top and bottom of canvas.

Hope you like my project sharing. Do join us in our monthly challenge. Have fun.

Thanks for dropping by.

Unicorn Mini Album with Carol

Hi, Carol Theng today, sharing a mini album that I made for my girl's birthday party. The theme for her birthday party is Unicorn. And I created this simple album to teach her and her best friends during the party.

I chose the simplest way to bind the album together with just 2 punched holes and tying the pages together with a thread. Let the kids tried diecutting with Spellbinders dies and Big Shot Machine. They had fun putting their albums together.

"Happy Birthday" Mini Album

Taught the girls to layer the diecut frames and cut outs with foam tape.

To decorate the inside, I simply cut out the designs from patterned papers. Easy for the girls to do as its their first album.

Hope you like my project sharing. Have fun crafting. Do join us for our January moodboard challenge.

Mixed Media canvas with Carol

Hi, Carol Theng here today sharing a mixed media canvas. I loved all Prima Princesses Stamps. Today I'm going to show you how I do mine.

"Prima Princess Gabrielle Canvas"

I used Prima Princess Gabrielle Stamp on Prima paper.

Colored the stamped image with Primascolor pencils.

Using 3 stencils, I spread texture paste over them to 'build' the background. Heat dry.

Sprayed pink and purple mists and flicked some drops across canvas. Heat dry.

Adhered down the diecut doily and the Blue Ferns chipboard. Used gesso and paint parts of chipboard with a sponge brush. Then add some colors using Twinkling H2O's on chipboard. Heat dry.

Adhere down the Prima princess with 3d foam tape. Add Prima flowers. Use matt multi medium to glue down Prima micro beads and glass glitter randomly across canvas. Heat dry. Inked edges with purple(Seedless Preserves) and pink(Worn Lipstick) distress inks. Lastly adhere some half pearls of different sizes randomly. And its done.

Hope you like my project. I will be taking a half year break. So this will be my last project at Off The Rails Scrapbooking this year. See you all next year. I will be back!! :P

Thanks all. Do join us for this month's moodboard challenge too. Have fun.
