Texture Paste and Watercolour Background

Carol was inspired by this month's color palette.
She made a layout using texture paste and watercolors to create the background. The papers are Simple Stories papers and stickers for the cute elements.

You may or may not be aware that we have changed the format here at Off The Rails Scrapbooking and our guidelines so can you please follow the link below and have a quick read, thank you.

New Month, New Challenge.

First I would like to thank all of you our followers, because without you we wouldn't be here and second I would like to thank our amazing sponsors.

From now on we are going to be doing things a little differently around here. We will be having one challenge a month so you will have more time to create. You are able to enter a card, layout or mixed media creation as long as it fits the theme. The design team and admin have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you as much inspiration over the next month as we can. It wont all be about the challenge but we will try to inspire you to create and go Off The Rails.

The challenge for the month is a mood palette and what a gorgeous one it is.

Would you like to see how the Design Team used our mood palette?

Sanna has created a layout which included a photo of her son who just loves dessert.

This month I decided to go 'Off the Rails' (well Off the Page, actually), and I created this sign for my twin boys' bedroom door. (Perfect for my little monsters! hehe)

We have only shown you four of our Design Teams inspiration projects so you will have to keep coming back to see more.

Please welcome our sponsor for the Month
Rachael Funnell

not only is she the sponsor for the month
but she is also part of our design team

Layout Tutorial with Jelissa

Hello friends!

I've just come back from a long break in Australia with my family, and I'm really excited to be back here to share a tutorial on how to create textured backgrounds.

Here is the layout:

I used the "Paradiso" collection from Kaisercraft, together with some knick knacks from their various collections.

Some close-ups:

Just love these flowers and how well their colours complement the palette I have chosen.

Creating layers with die-cut elements, chipboards and flowers.

Here's the start-to-finish video tutorial. Hope you enjoy what I have to share with you today!

love,
Jelissa
