I'm Fabulous - video tutorial with Emma.

Hi Off The Rails friends,
Today I'm sharing a Journal Page I created, which was loosley inspired by this months moodboard.
I've also been very inspired by many youTuber's and the techniques they use.
So to me this is still a bit amateur, but I really had fun with it.

I got to play with lots of stamps, inks and paint.

I also got to use some of the Tim Holtz small talk stickers in 'snarky'.
I love the sarcasm.

Please watch my video which shows my process of this creation.

Thanks for joining me today, and i'll catch you all next month.
Em xx

A new designer with a beautiful tutorial, welcome Lynn

I have created my first tutorial for Off The Rails Scrapbooking and it is for the layout that I did this month.  This is the layout:

I have used Kaisercraft paper from the Silver Bells collection.

I cut up some of the other paper in this collection into strips and have glued them down using Prima Art Basics 3D Gloss gel.
I have then applied 3 Lindy Stamp Gang Sprays using a paintbrush and water.  I have not sprayed directly onto the paper.  The colours used are Delphinium Turquoise, Salt Water Taffy and Frenchys Pink Pout

Around the edges of this frame the paper pieces have created, I have stamped and embossed.  I have used Stampendous stamp - Jumbo Snow and Stampendous White Embossing powder.

This has now created the base of the layout and you can being the layers.

I embossed a plain white piece of cardstock and then cut tags from this.  The tags were edged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Spun Sugar

I have cut 2 die cuts - Memory Box Frostyville Wreath.  I layered them together to get a thicker fuller look.

I have used another die cut - Die-namics Mini Doily.  This I have cut in half, as you only see half the doily and it makes the die cut go further!

I have then put the layout together.  Added some words from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Chit Chat stickers which I backed with cardstock and inked around the edges.

Final touches - I have added some clear glass Micro beads with 3D Gloss gel - always like to have some bling on the layout somewhere!!!!

I hope that you have found some tip here and til next time Happy Crafting !!

House Warming Gift by Priscilla

Hi everyone, it's my turn to share some inspiration today :)

A few weeks ago, I received a request from my sister to create a house warming gift for this very nice lady. I do not know her personally but looking at the photo, I knew that I wanted a striking background with some bling bling to match her elegance. Hence, the gorgeous color wheel idea came to mind.

The gold glitter ornate frame gave the glam factor, the feather created a soft and dreamy effect and the butterfly and ribbon is simply elegant.

Here's the brief steps on the creation of this background:
- To achieve the separation of each color portion; 2 pieces of paper was used to get the "V" effect for each column and sprayed on with Prima Color Bloom Spray.

Once the mist is dry, I soften the colors by dabbing white paint randomly with a kitchen towel. The uneven texture from the kitchen towel will help to create some texture. Then I picked out the blue columns to give it some extra attention by stencilling over it with the snake skin stencil from The Crafters Workshop.

I have used a script stamp from Tim Holtz Anonymous Stampers and Harlequin stencil from Tim Holtz as well to add more details and dimensions to the background.

Next is to dress up the chipboard ornate frame from Dusty Attic. I have prep this chipboard with a layer of transparent gesso before adding on the glitter. To adhere the gold glitter to the chipboard, I have applied a generous layer of glue medium, pour gold glitter over the whole chipboard and gently tap off any extra glitters.

Once done, it's time for the exciting moment to put all the embellishments together and complete the canvas!! :)

Supplies used:
8" x 10" canvas
Glitz Alpha Stickers
Liquitex clear gesso
Pink Paislee tag and buttefly die cut
Prima Color Bloom Sprays
Prima glitter butterfly and flowers
The Crafter's Workshop Snake Skin Stencil
Tim Holtz Stampers Annoymous Stamps
Tim Holtz Harlequin Stencil
Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Glitter
Tim Holtz Weather Wood Distress Ink Pad
Staz On Cloudy Sky Mini Ink Pad
Ribbon from Spotlight - a local craft store

Happy Crafting!

More Up. Up and Away Inspiration

Cannot wait to share with you what the Design Team have created for the current challenge, shall we have a look?

Used typewriter to type out the words and doodle some words with pen too for the background.

I love adding hot air balloons, paper airplanes, planes to my pages. maybe its because I mainly use my little boys as inspiration, but there such fun elements.
I even created a little mini album with them
Pop back later in the month to see more the album :)

I was inspired to use a mixed media format for this challenge.
Note to self: do not do mixed media when there's extreme humidity.
It takes forever to dry.
And I managed to get all the grands on one page.

I used 2 pieces of kraft paper glued together because I didn't have canvas.
The colors are a mix of gesso, paint, and watercolors and alcohol
ink that has been more or less covered because that resulted in disaster in my mind.
The stamp is from inkadinkado and the alphas are Tim Holtz grungeboard
that I've had forever.

Happy Creating
