Heather today with a tutorial to rock you

Hello Off The Rails friends! It's Heather here today to share a tutorial on how to make you own unique watercolour creations. You can use this idea to make scrapbook pages, cards or anything!

Here's my layout:

Step 1

Splatter some black ink onto an A4 sheet of watercolour paper where your work will go.

Step 2

Draw some flowers in freehand. Don't worry of they're not perfect - that's the idea!

Step 3

Use a stencil to draw in some flourishes. You could also hand-draw leaves if you like.

Step 4

Mix some watercolour paint with water and just apply it to the central area of your petals.

Step 5

Mix another watercolour a couple of shades darker with water and fill in the rest of the petals. Try to keep the colours separate at times, although they will tend to mix when they're wet.

Step 6

The end result is a random mix of the two colours giving your petals a realistic multi-hued effect.

I kept my embellishments to a minimum so as not to hide the watercolour work

My layout was based on this month's beautiful mood board. Are you going to enter our challenge this month?

Happy scrappin'!

Heather
