Amazing tags with tutorial by Auguree

Hello everybody Auguree is sharing an amazing tutorial on creating these awesome tags today.

Today I'd like to share a quick tutorial in to show you how to create the tags I created for this month's challenge. February is the month of love and although I cringed at the thought of Valentines day in my single years, it became one of my favourite days of the year. Yes, I'm one of those people who celebrate my wedding anniversary on the 14th of February and this will be our  12th. So yes I went for the pink and black moodboard.

Grab 2 tags. If you don't have any just use 2 rectangle pieces of paper  approximately 6 x 3.5 inches and snip off the top corners.

Start by cutting and glueing some paper scraps onto both tags.

Add white gesso to one tag.

Paint the other tag with black gesso.

Stamp some texture onto the white tag and add pink ink. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang. You may use any other brand you have for example Dylusions.

Randomly add some silver texture paste to the black tag and stamp with a script stamp and white archival ink, once the texture paste is dry. I used Brilliance Inks.

Select a paint colour from your stash and any stencil you may wish to use. Mix the paint with a little 3D Gel to make it a little thicker and more flexible. Add your stencil design to the tag, using the thickened paint.

Start assembling and glueing on your embellishments to both tags. For the white tag, you may be required to add extra colour using ink and or Smooch inks. I added some script stamping as well, since my design ended up covering quite a bit of my prepared background. Add interest by adding little mosaic mirrors to both tags.

Once satisfied with your arrangement ads another tag to the back for more stability.
Punch in the holes and set with an eyelet. String through some ribbon, lace or chain of your choice.

I really hope you enjoyed this one and look forward to see your takes on the challenge. Thank you for joining us at Off The Rails Scrapbooking.
