In the Shadows of her Dreams

Please help me welcome our Guest Designer for this month

Anguree Jansen van Rensburg.

Would you like to know more about Anguree well please keep reading as we asked her some questions which she kindly answered.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time apart from scrapbooking?
     A. Running, Reading and watching movies

Q. What photos do you like to use?
A. This is a bit of a tricky question, as the photos of I use for my layouts largely depends on the layouts themselves. I tend to pick my photos to fit the backgrounds or paper I choose to use. If I have to pinpoint it, I’d say that I love to use portrait photos and photos with people rather than photos of animals or flowers. Thinking of it, I’d have to say that I am drawn to photos that portray strong emotions. Whether it is happiness or sadness does not make a difference, as long as I can find a way to connect with the photo I’ll scrap it.

Q. Who is your scrapbooking Idol?
A. Wow, only one? I have many people in the scrapbooking world I admire and find inspiration from. It’s hard to choose only one idol, because they all have different talents and characteristics I admire. The short list would include: Athenasia, Finnabair (obviously lol J), Fiona Paltridge, Stephanie Papin, Terhi Koskinen, Marta Łapkowska, Georgia Heald, , Tim Holtz, Elena Morgun, Michelle Grant, Heather McMahon, Beck BT. Saying this, I am sure I’ve left out some very important names.

Q. What products do you like using at the moment?
A. I love to use gel medium including soft gel and 3d gel in almost all my projects. I use it as texture and glue. I also love texture paste, metal and Lindy’s Ink Sprays. Lately I’ve also discovered a love for glitter and bling…

Q. What made you choose scrapbooking?
A. I loved crafts and stationary since I can remember. My essay books and diaries at school were always lavishly decorated with collage and drawings. I guess it was natural to fall in love with this hobby when my aunt introduced me to it by handing me my first ever copies of Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. Just for the record, I still have them they included Volumes: 6 (6), 6 (8), 6(9) and 7(4).

We also sent Anguree our current Mood Board and she created 3 stunning pieces.

And last but certainly not least this gorgeous layout
