Sanna's step by step card tutorial

Hello there! Isn't the August colour palette just gorgeous??!! I love it!! And since we also have a Lawn Fawn themed month going on here at Off the Rails, I've combined both of the themes for my step-by-step card project :).

Here is how I created the card:
This is my finished card - inside and outside :).

I first cut five pieces of watercolour paper and sprayed them with various spray inks (Dylusions, Tattered Angels, Heidi Swapp and Lindy´s Stamp Gang). I mainly kept to red, orange and purple tones.

When the paper was dry, I took my "This way to fun for SC" Lawn Fawn stamp set and stamped arrows with black dye ink onto each paper piece.

Then I fussy cut them.

Next I glued the arrows down on my card base and chose a sentiment stamp from the stamp set for stamping. See how the sentiment consists of three different words? I only wanted to stamp one word onto one arrow, so I only partly inked the sentiment stamp and then pressed the inked image onto paper. This way I can vary where my words will be on the card and since the arrows/chevrons are so small, there is only place for one word per chevron.

Next I opened the card and stamped smileys inside the card and colored those with markers.

I then added a Lawn Fawn trimming in the middle of the card for additional detail.

Finally I also added some additional stamping into the chevron patterns for more eye candy/detail. Now my card was done. I hope you have enjoyed this little step-by-step and get inspired to create with the lovely colour palette from August. I really like the Lawn Fawn products too, especially the stamps (you know I´m a stamp lover in general, right?) as they are very versatile and they have many kinds of designs and really tiny images too that can be combined in so many ways!!

Happy crafting!!
xoxo, Sanna
